We are all reaching for something.
In my case, it was the passionfruit hanging
high up the wall of my back garden as a kid.
The vine weighed heavy in the spring, and yet
I waited for their perfect picking point.
You see, just like all creative projects,
the parchita’s sweetness develops over time.
My love for the unique tangy flavor of a
ripened parchita taught me patience
and nurtured my sense of wonder.
